I spoke with Allen for 3 hours and he really helped me develop a work flow and figure things out.

Seth, that is the best news I have heard about the printer. Can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed working with everyone who has come out here. Wish I had found you right after I bought the Mac.
Allen is extraordinarily dedicated. His high efficiency is only equalled by his brilliance on the job. He puts his clients’ needs first and taught me a great deal about providing good service. Allen thinks at a searing speed, he’s sharp and insightful and is always 2.5 steps ahead of everyone. In my duties as one of his first technicians at MCG, it was a challenge for me to try to keep up with him but I tried to tap into his vast knowledge whenever I could. His intensity at work is balanced by his heartfelt and personable attitude. I take pride in knowing that I was able to work for Allen and I have a deep respect for this man.

Hi Group,
Just an email to let you know that Allen did a great job last nite and has our Server back on line for us this morning.
Besides having a faulty hard drive, the RAID system seemed to get corrupted so Allen “rebuilt” the system for us last night.
I received several updated emails from Allen last night and early this morning.
I picked up the sever and hooked it up, it came on line fine and is presently running with no issues.

Allen, The training last week was great. You have a great place that allows for training that is very hands-on with the instructors. I want to let you know that your staff went above and beyond! They were always willing to help out no matter what the request was. As you know being away from your normal area can sometimes be a bit of a pain. The staff made us feel right at home there. Please let the staff know how much that meant….it made the training much more relaxed.
I guess the only downside to the whole week, was having to be next to Gambinos and smell all the fresh baked goodies every morning….

When a company goes out of their way without being asked, it’s worthy of note. Allen and his team at Hancock Consulting made me feel that they were honestly interested in giving me more than just my “money’s worth” as they repaired hardware, restored software and data, and communicated clearly throughout the process. Even in a very busy time for them, they made me feel like I was their most important customer.
I rarely find reason to make these kind of statements about businesses in this day and age, but this company deserves my highest praise and recommendation not only for the service they provided, but also for the manner in which they provided it. Calm, respectful, knowledgeable, but most importantly, ruled by integrity. If this recommendation influences you to use their services, I expect that you, too, will come to feel the same way. I have always considered your billing/quotes etc. fair and I attempt to make sure payments to you are always timely. By comparison with other consultants, I have found your work and advice to always be on point. When our firm pushed to move away from Apple and your work as a consultant, I objected. I won. Even when they considered moving to Win servers, I recommended that we use you for installation and maintenance. I look forward to having you around in the future for more improvements/tweeks in our system.

I have been a Mac user since their first machine hit the stands, as I’ve also been a Apple stockholder since they started.
We ALL know how easy it is to get advice on PC’s BUT to get GOOD, HONEST and CORRECT advice and help in the “Mac World” is extremely difficult!!
Allen has been a God send to my business and has saved me, our equipment and a LOT of downtime with his expert and professional Mac attitude.
Believe me…..in over 25 years I’ve tried others….and there is NO comparison! Use Allen Hancock for ALL your Mac requirements and you will be much better off in the long run.
No…He’s NOT a family member….(we’ll take him anytime) but we feel that strongly about his business and he will solve most any problem.
The following posts were in related to a period where I was based out of Memphis for three years.
While business was good in Memphis, it became clear that my clientele in Baton Rouge still needed my assistance, and in 2004 Allen and his family moved back to Baton Rouge to continue providing Macintosh based support to the Greater Baton Rouge community.

Noticed a lot of your postings are from Baton Rouge, where I was raised and told about you. But having our own business in Arkansas for over 30 years when I had a Laptop damaged, Allen has been one of the “few” who gave me honest, well derived answers!

We, at the Center for Landscape Interpretation, became acquainted with Allen Hancock from the date of purchase of our first Macintosh computer in 1997. Since then we have had occasion to work with Allen on a number of issues related to our office computer systems, including especially the PowerMac 9600/300, the PowerBook G3 400 M / 4G, several monitors, printers, scanner, Mac to PC hookup and an array of devices and software products.
In our client-consultant relationship, Allen has made a special effort to understand and appreciate our business practices and anticipate our professional needs. He has been effective in helping us identify and solve a variety of problems, exploit opportunities and create and enhance values, all within the framework of extending and enhancing our computer capabilities, especially in support of multimedia initiatives.
As a computer consultant, Allen has advised on the purchase of hardware and software; installed and taught some of the basic and finer points related to operating systems and applications programs; demonstrated numerous tricks and shortcuts; and provided dozens of helpful suggestions. Beyond the performance of on-site services, he has researched specific products and problems and reported the results to us in a timely manor. Most recently, at our request, he recommended, acquired, installed and tested a large format scanner with special features.
Allen has excellent communications skills. He has always made a special effort to make complex operations understandable to us as clients with limited technical backgrounds, including a willingness to list, in order, the steps in an operation not always found in manuals. He has been especially patient in listening to a problem description when we are at a loss in using the precise terminology.
Although extremely busy in his practice, Allen is very accommodating in squeezing in emergency visits to our office or even home. And he is readily accessible by cell phone, even on weekends, so we discovered, when we called from Kansas for help with an unusual situation prior to a major presentation.
Allen possesses a wealth of experience for a man of his years. He is very knowledgeable, highly efficient and technically competent. He is totally reliable. He is a thoroughgoing professional in every respect.
He leaves behind a fine reputation as he and his Veterinarian wife, Wendy, move on to Memphis where he will open a new office for Hancock Consulting. I have moved to Houston and am loving it. Luckily, I haven’t had any technical problems since I have been here, but it was comforting to know you were only an email away.
