Aperture 3

Aperture 3 is Apple’s photo managing and editing software.  Aperture allows you to organize by face or place, use brushes for precise retouching, and access to photo stream.

Faces and Places
With Faces you can find a specific person in a crowd picture, label them, and then see them in any of your projects.  Places allows you to organize your pictures by location and then see where all of your pictures are on a map.

Brushes
With brushes you take precise control of what you what to change to the image in the specific area you want to change it.  You can control the size, softness and strength of any brush.  You have access to special effects brushes to blur the background, change the color of the grass, and many more.

Photo Stream
With the newest version of iOS, you can take a photo on any of the iOS devices and photos automatically appear in your photo stream.  This includes the photo stream on all your iOS devices and your Aperture or iPhoto library.
