  • What does enrolling in “Personal Support” get me?
    [Support when you need it, and discounted sales]
    • Our Personal Support package covers all those times you may have wanted to ask a quick question, but didn’t want to get billed, or feel you were imposing. For each person who is enrolled in Personal Support, we will answer your questions by phone or email, and any issue which is resolved in under 15 minutes is covered by the monthly fee.
  • Is there a call or email limit per month? [No]
    • Part of the benefit to us is not having to track each call or email, we simply cover the time spent helping you with the monthly fee for being here and providing you personal support. It is possible that our system can be abused, however we have found this system to work quite for all parties.
  • What kinds of issues, emails, or phone calls are covered?
    [Anything under 15 minutes]
    • If we’re helping you out of a bind or just sharing a tip on finding your files faster, the support is measured in time spent on a given issue. Phone calls or emails which take less than 15 minutes of a technician’s time are covered by your support agreement.
  • What if a problem turns out to be more in depth and extends beyond 15 minutes?
    [The time is billed at your discounted rate]
    • Calls or emails that extend beyond 15 minutes will be converted into a billable ticket.  The time will be invoiced as normal or will be deducted from your prepaid billable time. (If we are on the phone for 30 minutes, there will be an invoice for 30 minutes.)
  • Who can call?
    • Personal Support is provided on a per-user basis. Only users subscribed to the Personal Support enjoy the under 15 minute benefit.
    • What if I don’t subscribe to Personal Support? [We're still here to help]
    • Anyone can call and get service from the Mac Consulting Group, Inc.  For issues we resolve via phone, email, or other methods are subject to billing at our normal rates, in 15 minute increments.
